A quick update on the game between myself and Phil Roubaud.

We're at 9:15am May 7th, turn 16 of 445. Phil has moved what appears to be a brigade of French down the left side of the King's River threatening Fort William from the North. He has overrun the Walter's and Hargreaves' farms (sorry guys), but has encountered my Light bn at Rich Hamilton's place (we promise to fill in the loopholes later Rich.) A couple of grenadier companies chased out a company of rangers from blockhouse #1. My 12 pdrs from the fort are playing nicely upon his troops. I've lost 26 men while he has lost 147. [:)]
An interesting encounter has also developed between a band of Indians on my side against a band on his side near my Mill, left of the King's River. My Mingo warriors were successful in surprising, and chasing off his Shawnees.

Reinforcements are pouring in on my side, but it is a long march from the entry hex to the fort. Phil's fort is south of my, 1 mile, so I am sure he will be bringing troops from that direction as well.

All in all, the battle is shaping up nicely.

War of the Frontier is a homemade scenario 5 miles wide by 3 miles deep. Each army will have about 10 to 12 thousand men made up of regulars, militia, and natives. Each side has a fort and several Indian villages to defend/capture. The 445 turns is about 3 days.
