Gentlemen

I need your assistance and your honest opinions:

As many of you may or may not know..though I'm a member of the American Army here, I am a member of the British Army in the reenacting community. We recently received an email from our commander passing along a request from the present day Royal Welch Fusiliers to write the Prime Minister on a matter of some importance to us.

As you are all aware; the British Army, much like the American Army is reorganizing and amalgamating many of the historic regiments into new smaller more specialized forces. Many of the traditional Scottish Regiments were reorganized and renamed but allowed to keep their historic names as part of their new official titles. (i.e. The Black Watch)

However, the Welsh regiments were not afforded the same courtesy and it is the belief of the Royal Welch Fusiliers <i>(and the Royal Welch Fusiliers in America)</i> that they should be, in order to retain some of their tradition. To that end, a letter writing campaign has begun. I have written a letter to the Prime Minister and would like your HONEST opinions on it. I especially would like the opinions of my British brothers, as they are more atuned to the delicacies of addressing members of their government.
