I have just finished adding Recon or Lookout units to the standard Cowpens_a scenario. It is *not* a mirror/balanced scenario.

I have called it Cowpens_c_with_Lookouts.scn so that someday someone might develop a Cowpens_b scenario.

I especially recommend "beginners" and "newbies" using this scenario, since the lookouts provide early warning to any American or British attempts to sneak through the forests and appear in the rear area.

The lookouts are FIXED, and so cannot move around. But because they are only 1-man units, they won't prevent a concerted effort to enter the forest. The units are set far enough back that the enemy can enter the fringe of the forest and get around them, but not any further than the fringe.

In earlier posts I have already spoken about the ironic twist that virtually any game engine provides, since it gives us perfect knowledge of topography and terrain ... and no chance of getting lost in the woods. Whereas historically speaking, units that plunged into the woods could encounter ravines, boulders, fallen trees and so forth - - not to mention just getting plain lost.

Any one who would like to have the zip file to add to your basic scenarios, just email me at GBrooks9@tampabay.rr.com .

If I can get someone to "test" it with me (either American or British) then I can get it ready for putting it on one of the available websites.
