You wrote a simple NO to this proposal of mine:
"Perhaps we could agree that "skirmishers", in the CCC engine or any engine, should be virtually defenseless - - from any direction?"

Tell us more why you feel this? Is it your position that a unit of skirmishers will yield more quickly if attacked from the flank than from the front? I would certainly have to agree with this.

The position I was proposing earlier was that other than SHOOTING at an advancing infantry line, there is virtually no resistance to a melee attack.

Wouldn't you agree to this part?
