... did it ever occur to anyone that there may be members who do not at all appreciate having their win/loss ratio made public in direct comparison with the rest of the membership? There is a reason why this is *not* a ladder club where everyone's position is defined by his standing relative to others in gaming results. There is plenty a man in this club who has contributed above and beyond the call of duty for years in spite of a poor win/loss ratio--or maybe his playing was even sub-average *because* he spent a lot of time on things from which others would benefit--and such men do not at all deserve being placed
at the bottom of a statistics list whose value for the club is questionable at best and which would be much more appropriate for a ladder club than for a "roleplaying" club as this one. This club is about fun and playing games, not about winning, so winning should never be as important as such ladders make it appear.
May I suggest that further statistics are made available maybe for those who take an interest in that kind of math--I, for one, don't--and kept away from the public board. If nothing else, the respect for the feelings of those who don't appear in the tops of such ladders should make one refrain from publishing such information without their consent. Personally, I have a positive win/loss ratio and I publish mine anyway, so I don't care, but I can imagine that members with a different record may feel different.
Let's keep this CCC and not make it another Blitz.
