I just got done reading

Mayflower: A Story of Courage, Community and Warby Nathaniel Philbrick

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/067003 ... oding=UTF8

It's a very interesting Book that traces the Plymouth Colony from the days of it's foundation up through the end of King Phillip's War, especially in relation to the relations between the colonies and the local Native tribes.

I give it a definite thumbs up. Not detailed enough to make scenarios from, but enough to whet your appetite. There's got to be a scenario from "The Great Swamp Fight"... 1000 Mass Milita against a fortification built in a swamp (and here I thought the lines at Horseshoe Creek was the first time Native Americans had built a field fortification.)
