Dear Fellow Revolutionary War Enthusiast,

The Washington Crossing Revolutionary War Round Table began its third year on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. The meeting was held at the David Library of the American Revolution, 1201 River Road, Box 748, Washington Crossing, PA 18977. The topic on Tuesday, April 11th was Artificers,; The discussion was led by Stanley Saperstein and moderated by Richard Kane. Noah Webster, a Living Historian whose speciality is wagoners, their tools and clothing provided additional information. Although lightly attended, the discussion was lively.

The Washington Crossing Revolutionary War Round Table will meet six times in 2006, once again alternating between Saturdays and Tuesdays. The remaining topics and dates are: Haym Solomon, Saturday, June 17th; led by William Agress and moderated by Joseph Seliga; The Struggle for the Delaware - 1777, Tuesday, August 15th, led by Edward Greenawald and moderated by Richard Kane; Topography in 1776/1777, Saturday, October 21st led by Stephanie Stephens and moderated by Robert Fanelli and Washington and His Lieutenants, Tuesday, December 12th led by Jay Jorgenson and moderated by Joseph Seliga. Our meetings are from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. I hope that you can attend all of them.

All meeting are held at the David Library of the American Revolution in the lecture hall in the old barn.

Not only do we have a large enough and well appointed facility, but it will is in the premier research library of the American Revolutionary period in the United States. There is an ample parking lot next to the building. In addition, the Round Table can use the facility without charge by helping with the parking at the 8 scheduled lectures of the David Library. The parking activity is for the hour prior to each scheduled lecture, beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you can volunteer to assist in this task, please notify Richard Kane.

The format for our meetings are as follows: A fifteen to twenty minute time for the Lead to set the stage for the discussion, followed by an hour and a half of discussion by participants and concluding with a ten minute debriefing.

Ten successful meetings have been held so far. I thank everyone for their participation.
