Greetings illustrious sirs,

Per the rule book, each unit receives an initial fire bonus for the first volley it fires. Does this bonus get used during defensive fire? Or is it somehow reserved for the first offensive fire?

In other words, if the first 'shot' a unit fires is during the auto. defensive fire phase, does this defensive fire benefit by the bonus? And if so, does it apply for EACH defensive fire shot a unit takes during auto defensive fire (I just watched a yank unit fire THREE times during defensive fire phase!!) And if so, does the unit receive the initial volley bonus for its first offensive fire EVEN THOUGH it has fired defensively previous to the offensive fire.

Probably my imagination, but this seems to occur.
