If you look at the other sticky post, you will see we have kicked off the 2nd game of Round 2 of a War of 1812 Tournament.
We've also modified the format to be a 2 losses and you are out format, with a twist. The twist is that a loss in an individual battle only counts as a Tournament Loss if the scenario for the battle proved to be "balanced". I know it sounds complicated, if you are interested I'll give you more details, otherwise you can trust me to do the bookkeeping of your position.
The first game under this format did not prove to be balanced enough to result in any Tournament Losses for any of the players, so while some have earned victory points, no one incurred a Tournament Loss and hence potential elimination.
If you are new to the club or just now developing an interest in 1812 and what to join the activities I can accommodate you as long as I get an equal interest for both sides. If you were eliminated as part of Round 1 and want to rejoin, you are also welcome.
You would start at the bottom of the list, but no one has any Tournament Losses at this point, so there is not a significant disadvantage to you.
The scenario for each game will be about 20 turns. I expect you to be able to play at least 3 turns every two weeks.
If you are interested, send me an email or post a reply. If you have a question post that as well.
I'll keep this new signup open for about a week until around April 20.
