I was informed by one of my opponants that one of the ongoing tourneys in the club has asked that players not upgrade to the current patch. This has created a problem in that I'm playing that player in another game, and I had to upgrade for other games and training when it the new patch came out.

I'll refrain from commenting on the request, but I will explain a fast and easy way to have your cake and eat it to.

I've done this a number of times for different games, and it works like a charm.

1) Open Windows Explorer
2) Create a New Folder (I generally leave it in the HPS Subfolder for ease of finding).
3) Name it something like (FIW-Old) that is clear to you.
4) Copy-Paste the entire contents of the FIW folder into that folder. Windows will automatically take care of any subfolders and the like, creating the ones needed.

At this point, you have a working spawn copy of the game. Then, for easy access

5) Rightclick on the main program (in this case, fiw.exe) and choose "Create Shortcut"
6) Drag and drop that shortcut to your desktop.

This spawn will work entirely normally, and that shortcut will tell the program to start the .exe found in your "spawn" copy

Then, simply patch your regular installation to the new patch, and you'll have the spawn to use for any games that are left to be played with the old patch.

See, easy [:D]
