Corporal Keys,
The 2nd Division of our Continental / American army is proud to have you join us. We wish you a long and an illustrious military career. If we can help you in any way please contact me.

Bar maid, please serve the Corporal and our men gathered 'round some of your finest Medeira and a hogshead of rum which we will take out back in our private room.

Welcome, noble but misguided Sir,

Really, the best you could do for the colonial cause (as if one could possibly imagine so ignoble an idea) would be to serve the cause of Law and Order and Parliamentary submission. Hence I advise you forthwith to return these grand colonies and their valiant peoples to the gracious protection and tender ministration of her rightful King and Parliament. Or do you miscreant louts actually enjoy seeing your farms burned and crops destroyed? Do you rise in the morning and pray that Merciful God will indeed grant that another fleet of HM ships appear off your harbor and swallow up your trade? Do you gather at public house of an evening and wistfully anticipate with your fellow Provincials that yet another city upon these wild shores might burn?

Your "army" is chased to the hinterlands. Your privateers fly at the first sight of the White Ensign. Your ravenous and criminal renegade bands sleep in swamps whilst British regulars enjoy all the hospitality that Charleston, Philadelphia and New York have to offer! And were there any other cities of decency, we would return those, too, to His Majesty. And pray, boast not of Boston for I have been there sir and the stench still fouls my wardrobe.

Do your best, Sir? You would do your best for these vast lands and their peace-loving citizens? Then see the Provost at once to beg his mercy, and take the King's shilling and the red coat, and lift your proud and strong arm to restore decency here, so that I moght return to fair England with glad confidence of peace and order and stability once again reigns beneath His Most Gracious Majesty's benevolent countenance.

Jones

Corporal Keys,

You have been warned by Lord Jones, His Most Britannic Majesty's troops know no quarter for the rebel rabble. Your men will know nothing but the sword & the bayonet being shown to them at the hands of the finest army in the world!

In other words, Welcome Back to the Club! :) I will treat you half a crown for a drink, then have my men chase you out... ;)
