Given that the French SUCCEEDED in keeping New France...at least for a while...the Revolutionary War was HORRIBLY delayed.......until 1777........thus the creation of the UNITED STATES........meanwhile...the exhausted over-sexed French had long ago acquiesced to the Royal Crown of Great Britain.....

is everyone keeping up here???

Despite losing the Thirteen Colonies to George Washington and the American revolutionaries twenty-five years earlier, England, like many on the European continent, did not take the United States that seriously. :P

Supporting its allies in Spain and Portugal, Britain’s army was on the Iberian Peninsula, involved in a struggle with Napoleon Bonaparte, who had marshaled the forces of Revolutionary France under his penumbra.

Given the intelligence and education system of the UNITED STATES....(what too soon  )...this presented a PERFECT OPPORTUNITY...............

On June 18, 1812, the United States stunned the world by declaring war on Great Britain.

In celebration of the upcoming 200th anniversary of the American attempt at the CONQUEST OF CANADA...we are anouncing a new CLUB TOURNEY :!: :!:

Please stay tuned for details

....now discuss.........

Gentleman...the game is afoot...follow your spirit, and sign up for the tourney, :P

Conquest of a Continent PART II - THE WAR OF 1812

The year is of course, 1812. The sides in this competition are the pathetic AMERICANS...who have just declared WAR on the mightiest Nation on EARTH.....and the BRITISH

Teamed with the British are the noble FRENCH CANADIAN subjects who have decided to remain loyal to the CROWN.

Also teamed with the British are those Native peoples allied with the GREAT WARRIOR Tecumseh
Shawnee Creek Red Sticks Ojibway Chickamauga Fox Iroquois Miami Mingo Ottawa Kickapoo Delaware (Lenape)
Mascouten Potawatomi Sauk and Wyandot....to name a few

Allied with the AMERICANS are the EUROPEAN FRENCH and other such pirates lurking around the swamps of Louisianna.....

ALSO Allied with the AMERICANS are Choctaw and Cherokee peoples...

Again, the year is 1812, and three (3) battles listed below are open. Please declare your interest in participating in these battles. As the self appointed TOURNEY MASTER  , I shall make the selection from the nominees...

The Battle of Mackinac July 17th, 1812..............................072: Mackinac_aw
The Battle of Fort Detroit August 16th, 1812 .....................032: Detroit_aw
The Battle of Queenston Heights October 13th, 1812.......090: Queenston_bw

Post your challenges here!!

Website is a work in progress, but the scoring system may be viewed at

The 64th will of course wish to defend the interests of the crown against the Americans invading Canada. Any battle will do.

Lieutenant General Davis & I have reached the 12th of 24 Turns

The troops of His Britannic Majesty have penetrated the fort in the southeast & are possession of a large portion of the town while his Indian Allies are having a tougher go in the northern section, timely American reinforcement having arrived to their rear.

The Americans (amazingly) still cling to a Major Victory. However grave uncertainty remains as to whether or not events will reverse that entirely & precious little doubt but that they will dramatically alter the current state of affairs on the far outlying fringes of the young Republic.

Sir, I am ready for assignment. :)

I think I am allied with the Americans (correct?), but defer to your accounting in this matter

Yes Sir, I believe you would be with the Americans. So we need to find A British Officer or Native Brave to take you on. Also, any Canadian Voyageurs - militia units, will side with the British. So check the history of your unit!!
