Last night, I bit the bullet and purchased both The French & Indian War and the War of 1812 EAW titles. Hopefully, to be within my possession by the weekend. :P :P :P
I do have a few small questions (Yes more questions  ). Firstly, I am not too found of the stock graphics that come with the EAW series (A little too outdated for my liking). I know other clubs such as the ACWGC and the NWC there are players devoted to cleaning up and mastering the graphic for these wonderful games we play. Does this exist with the EAW as well? Where can I get some nice updated artwork for 1776, FIW and 1812?
Lastly, is there a continuous tournament that is going on within this club called ' Conquest of a Continent PART II - THE WAR OF 1812' Does it include the FIW as well ? If not, what exactly is this thread about (Seems a bit much to start reading from the beginning)? Are there tournaments ever assembled here within the CCC?

Regards.

Al,

I am not 100% sure about the 3D graphics, I know the icons with the unit data on the side panel might have upgrades and I know of some folks working on stuff, just not sure of the little guys on the map.

We just concluded earlier this year a FIW Tourney, it went on for a few years where every battle of the war was played in order and points were given for victories and at the end totaled up to see what side won.

We are doing the same now with 1812, though the French are not in 1812 itself, French Army members can still play and there is a specific rule, depending on your unit assignment that Jeff McDonald or Garry Cope can explain for which side you'll fight on. But I encourage you to sign up. Pretty much go to the last page of the tread and see what battles are currently open for play and sign up for one. Jeff McDonald will come along and let you know if it is ok and hopefully another gamer will chime in to play you in it. Might take a week or so, but if need be, I'll dig someone up to play you.

Al, If you would like to join in the current "club wide" 1812 tourney. Just go to the thread and indicate you would like to play and that you would like to be assigned a battle. Jeff McDonald will come along and give you one. btw: My French unit is playing for the American side and your unit would also be aligned with the Americans :)
