To all who see these presents, greetings:

Be advised that, in recognition of his services to the King and the Empire, I have promoted Zafer Ejder Sergeant of the 49th Regiment of Foot, 1st (English) Brigade of the Right Wing (Royal North American Corps) to the rank of Ensign.

Given under My Hand and Seal at Philadelphia this Fourth day of December 1782 and the twenty second year of His Majesty's Reign,
