Where oh where have they gone.

I see A FEW British STALWARTS looking for limited engagement with the French, Indians and Continentals, but they go unanswered.

Tragedy, ennui, FEAR, that's the answer, FEARFULNESS!!

allo micha,
yes there is nothing stop a member from playing as either side. though if you play as the other side it goes in the records as a maneuver game

Not quite right, David:

As long as you are playing a member of another ARMY, it is a battle regardless of the side played.

From the CLUB RULES:

"You can start and play a sanctioned game, playing any side. The only penalties will be if you play against a member in your own army. For example if two Colonial Officers want to play a game, they may, but this will be scored without any victory points being included in the calculation; this is to encourage play between the four armies, as much as possible. Multi-player games are encouraged; the players on opposite sides of an MP can't be from the same Army."

Yes, you may play ANY SIDE. If playing against a member of YOUR OWN ARMY, it is a maneuver; against a member of any other army, regardless of side played is a BATTLE.

The ONLY difference between a MANEUVER and a BATTLE is the scoring, as a BATTLE is scored slightly higher than a maneuver.
