La Grande Armée - Promotion


Le Grand Quartier-Général Impériale has confirmed that Sous-Lieutenant Mike Laabs's efforts on the field of honour have been recognised.


It gives me great pleasure to announce on behalf of Général Hecht that with immediate effect,
Sous-Lieutenant Laabs has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

My congratulations on your promotion to Lieutenant!
A position of great responsibility: few men know how to handle iron, fire, and mathematics with such composure… especially when distances shrink and canister begins to whistle.

I wish you well-placed batteries, dry fuses, and disciplined gunners.
As for us, we hope to dodge your cannonballs long enough to reach sabre range…

While I naturally dread the moment your batteries unlimber against my position, I must salute the skill required to command such Feuerkraft (firepower).

Enjoy your new rank, Monsieur. When the Donner (thunder) of the IV Corps begins, we shall see if your aim remains true against the Kaiser's troops.
