To all Allied Coalition Officers,

One thing to remember without Napoleon Bonaparte we would not have all the history to debate, the games to play or all the fun!

So wish the the long gone Empereur Napoleon a Happy Birthday
and you can go back to picking on him tomorrow!

Maybe So, but the Africans and Asians then benefited from the Europeans killing each other, so someone besides us silly Napoleonic Game players can thank Napoleon or the Good Old Boy Royality.

I salute histories greatest soldier! A flawed man of massive energy and intelligence who indeed did cast a mighty shadow even to this day.

Modern military systems evolved from his genius. His skills are not always grasped by even the greatest historians but for me only Alexander and Frederick the great compare

For example many historians including my favourite Chandler say his extensive use of central position and direct assault was a sign of his decline as a General. On the contrary I say it was a reflection of his evolution of understanding of the art of war and the calculations required for success.
