I as a member call for a no Confidents vote what say ye who are still members ! Remember that many who say stay cool where the past president friends.

I, for one, would like to focus on the future. When I saw all of this play out I was very skeptical of ALL of the cabinet and so far Todd has stepped up and been really helpful trying to figure out the transition. People want to go start a private club where they can screen their membership and always be right? Fine, go ahead. We accept everyone here and if you are a jerk it will be hard for you to find opponents. So I would ask everyone to hold their judgement on people who have chosen to remain here. If people start popping up on this board and bad mouthing Todd or me or Jeff B. or whomever, well, we will know what that is about, won't we. Lets stay positive and stay active. So Cliff,please, I was your Yorktown AAR in the CCC, it is time for another one of those here.

No need to get carried away, Cliff. It will get straightened out and we will be better off for it.

I for one cannot understand what the big problem was.

Why did so many guys feel so strongly about leaving.

As an outsider looking in, it looked like one group forced out another group, then those guys who won all quit............lol

which makes absolutely no sense at all to me.

this is a gaming club, not a Little League board of directors. What were they fighting about?

Very good questions, indeed.

Any person can make statements expressing their view on these matters, seemingly as fact, and I would advise one and all to verify what is said to the best of their ability.

In many cases, such verifications can be made by looking within various threads and posts in the club forums.

When trying to determine levels of truth and fiction, I always start with looking at the author, and the date/time of their posts.

In this manner you will find not only who said what, but very importantly, when they said it.

This is critical to understanding the flow of events.

In light of this attempt to 'understand' what is going on, I become wary when encouraged to not... dwell on the past or the whys and wherefores of it all.

I consider that a most awkward position to place oneself in...

Another way of phrasing the question we are concerned with is: why have Cabinet members, each popularly elected by acclamation, and who gave so much of their personal time to the betterment of this club, ended up resigning from their positions?

The problem me an the rat had was he was told by Mark to apologized to me for the rude way he disrespected me for the time and effort that I put into my post. Just that simple ! My reason for a no confident vote is because many of the older members of this club left long before the last election. Many where force to leave by court action for voicing what they where thinking. One a friend of mind Christen Hecht was put out all together. I am here to play win lose or draw. Many members would have been put out by the musters they had, many members set on the court that put David out the Chef of staff of the Austrian army and former III Corps commander. Another Dave was put out for standing up for himself and the members of the broad are still here. I find that a no confident vote would not only clear the present elected broad members! But also show that if they knew that since last March the pass LGA and President where planning to start another club why would they had so many members of this club go though what they did and there families. If you didn't like the people that where in the club an you were making a new club why drag their names though the dirt like they did. In closing, yes I have had some problems with people who tell me get lost and shut up. But not once did I disrespect any one I was not for the President when he ran for PR. Which as a member and a citizen of the United States is a basic right. I have been a member since 2000 and never in 14 years has this ever happen. There where two clubs one the INWC and the NWC and both work together like the CCC an the ACWGC. You didn't have to leave like the Colts left Baltimore. All they had to do was say we are starting a club that will be more inclusive and still hold there post here as many members now do. I hope that this clearly tells why I hold to a none Confident vote.

Sir maybe you didn't read my post all those members that where put out was done by our elected President and the Cabinet. It could be a vote of confident if you want it. Now I showed that I was not welcome in that club and if any member of the NWC is now in that New Club and hold a office I would think they would come forward to show confidents. I have class IV cancer and I play these game because I keep active at 68 years old sir, I have nothing to prove.

Do you have any that they didn't! Now I could stay up all night Captain but since I been here just a little longer then you I will leave it at that an a waite your next move in our game ok.

There is no law that says it's a crime to belong to any club but if you are a setting officer of this club why not tell the membership that not only are you a member of another club and that you knew about the forming of same. Just to be up front this is not a criminal matter but be up front with members that you 1. Knew of the forming of a different club and 2. That you will remain in the office and serve this club as well as the other. Such as 2nd Lt Ed Blackburn of my home state Md. you can easily find out if any setting members of the broad are in the Society which I see is no crime but as a statement of trust that your duties here will not destroy this club to secure the other. Why keep it a secret, I didn't know Andy left the Col but stay on as a Moderator nothing at all wrong with that.

I see no point in debating the past regarding who said what to whom. Mark and Al left without explanation and that is there perogative, but this is clear---the other club got their domain name in March. Did all of this work get done between our last election, which finished a few weeks ago? I doubt it. Of course, Al was not up for election but Mark won (unopposed) the Coalition Election in August. Why would he run if he was leaving? I am asking because I do not know and actually, I really do not care.

So I think this is weird-why push through new club rules (with zero option for club members to add or subtract from them), run for election, etc when you are leaving and quietly setting up a new club. Why expel people from the club for disagreeing with you when you knew you were going to quit? It odd behavior to me, because, after all, these are games where grown men play toy soldiers.

When I look back at the threads where all of the arguing took place, I do not see anyone who really comes off looking good. So we can say he said this and he said that but the if you look at it, you see lots of people being nasty and pointing fingers. I do not see a point in continuing this discussion.

So I think we should move forward, if anyone wants my personal opinion they can ask but for now we should let past arguments stay in the past. Anyone who wants dual membership or wants to leave should do whatever they want. To make anything more of it is to waste our own time, because we cannot change the past, we cannot know the opinions of those who are not here to share them, etc, etc. I do not care what Todd and Roy knew when etc., as long as they do the work in this club that we elected them to do. I have had my disagreements (mostly in public, on the boards) with Todd in the past, but he and I are working together with the rest of the Coalition team right now and that is all I care about.

Jim, it is true that you and I do not necessarily agree on everything, nor do we need to.
And so far our conversations about topics we do not agree on have been respectful towards one another, which I thank you for, and is how I believe two people who don't agree on something should conduct themselves.

You ask some questions that others are asking, which to my best of ability I will try to provide some answers as I have them, from my point of view, and knowledge.

I will do this as soon as I can.

There are things that I feel I must say about a lot of the stuff being said here.

It is not my intent to 'stir' things up.

But it is absolutely my intent to ensure that the members here know what is going on now, and what has brought the club to this point - as opposed to encouraging everyone to forget the past.

It is a basic principle of 'understanding' that you do not ignore the past when trying to make sense of the present.

When the elected leaders of this club resign... when the elected leaders of this club face threats of being driven out by an extreme minority of folks, who clearly do not respect the expressed will of the majority who have voted their approval for their leaders - this is very important - from the point of view of someone who has been elected by the membership to be their leader.

Hi all ,friends and co members

I have to admit I'm one of the ones just wanting to move one ,it is not as to me having something to
hide or having quarrels with the ones who left it is simply that I feel that is the thing to do ,just move on.
Are we to have some investigation on why they left why they started a new club during night and so one ?
We can always ask them for a statement or reasoning behind this "strange" behavior but the thing is it is
done and no one can stop any member here forming any other club they like ,and to run that club to their liking.

I feel sorry for any member who has quit this club and specially the ones forced out against their own will.
I have been all against that and I have mentioned that here and that is a thing I have no regrets about complaining for.
I feel a little cheated by the leaders here jumping ship and the way it is done but its their own call ,people do as they like.

We should just be happy we still have a club and we still have leadership and we can still stay.
I just want to keep on playing the few games I play ;o)
This is not the first time and it may not be the last but still we have NWC and we have each other to play against
