I will gladly add my sword to the ring.

You, Sir, may command this engagement.

NOW, if there are TWO COLONIALS, French or INDIANS foolish enough to test BRITISH Steel and ball!

Have you a scenario in mind[?]

Does any Frenchman want to help the old Army commander out? I can't leave this kind of challenge unanswered. Phil, Garry, the Bills? Anybody? I'm awaiting a reply. Any FIW scenario is fine by me.

Brett,

Actually this is the only club that I do not have a multiplayer game in. Go ahead and sign me up. What are we looking at as far as scenarios?

Look out fellas. The top brass of the French Army have come out to play. As close as I've worked with Phil these past few months, I've never seen his playing abilities close up. Looks like that's about to change. Dean, as you have just joined, feel free to pick the engagement. I'm very flexible as far as optional rules go, so feel free to pick those also. Send an e-mail out to all of us, and we can get started some time on Sunday. Good luck to all involved. Ernie and I are old foes, so we'll just be renewing acquaintances. Phil and Dean, look out! Ernie and I tend to have wild and crazy affairs. Our Eckmuhl Campaign has been about as out there as you can get!

Gentlemen,

Might I suggest one of the smaller or midsized historical scenarios? Perhaps one of the historical Lake George Battles. I''ve just gotten through Parkman's description of this battle in his classic 'Montcalm and Wolfe.'

How about Ticonderoga-d.

Or one of the Western New York scenarios;they are very large, though.

Ernie,

Ti-d is a little on the large side, and at 132 turns might take forever to complete, but if Dean and Phil are okay with it, then so am I. If anyone has any other suggestions, let'em fly.

If you manage to complete a 132 turn MP I'll petition cabinet to create a special medal for that achievement. [:D] I have yet to see one that goes beyond 60.

Hi.
Its good to see you all here and yes Ernie,I would be happy with you by my side Sir.Now down to the game,Medal I like the sound of that,As a new officer of the British army I will hand over the picking of the scn to Ernie as i have not played any of the games,This dos not say that i can not play them,With the rules also Ernie will know better about them than me the only thing i dont like are ZOC,which happen in the Nappy games,So gentlemen if we are ready lets start a long scn is ok with me.

[:D] I am in a couple that are still slogging along.

I agree that it is a reach for 132 turns, but it is hard to find a 15 turns scenarios that makes sense for MP play. You want to be able to have a clear division of forces and Ti-d seems to do that.

As we have seen discussed (and maybe participated in it), the main ingredients for a successful MP game are dedication of the players and getting everyone into the action right away.

In T1-d, the forces are right there, no need for a lot of turns to get into the action.

So, a more reasonable scenario might be CROWN POINT E, 40 turns.

Dean:

I think the options would be:
ADF
VP for Leaders
Isolation
Flank Morale
Line Movement
Weak ZOC.

Ernie,

That sounds just about right to me, both for Crown Point e and the optional rules. Let's let Phil chime in and if he agrees we're off!
