I just got back from a trip to St.Augustine FL I went to the fort Castillo de San Marcos. It's a beautiful fort that was never taken in battle. Its also probably one the most well placed forts I have ever seen. They have many original cannons of the era dating back as far as 1725. If you ever get chance to see this fort I highly recommend it. It also got me thinking about the war of Jenkins Ear and if there any chance we can make some these mostly forgotten battles?

I haven't had the chance to visit St. Augustine but I've heard great things about Castillo de San Marcos from folks that have visited. Here is a photo of it for those who are curious:

I think The War of Jenkins Ear can offer some good scenario using this game engine. My question is can new maps be made for the scenarios?

They are also rebuilding the Original defensive Lines and redoubts so right in The middle of residential area they will be a wooden stockade with cannons its really interesting and they are all over the place. Also St. Augustine is supposedly Haunted my wife is into that sort of stuff so we spent most our nights out ghost hunting which is fun if you like that sort of thing... :)

here some info on the battle of 1740
The British Attacked in 1740 they Landed on Anastasia Island and Villano beach right across matanzas bay they had three Batteries on Anastasia Island Of 30 pieces of Artillery 6/18 Pounders, 1/9 Pounder, 2 heavy Mortars and 20 cohorn Mortars.

British Force Consisted of: 1,400 total men 50 cannons
42nd or 47th Regiment of foot 640 Regulars
5 ships of the line
2 Sloops
The Mounted Highlander Rangers
Royal Artillerymen
Sailors
Georgia Militia
Carolina Militia
Jones Boatman
Georgia Coastal Rangers
Black Slaves
Indians: Creeks,Chickasaw,0chees,Yamacraw etc.

Spanish: 750 troops, 120 Sailors
The fort Consisted of 22 Cannons between 6pdrs to 36 pdrs Not sure how many Mortars
Spanish Galliots ships
450 Regulars
Sailors
Spanish Militia
Black Militia
Indians: Timucua etc...
