TOURNEY BLOOD

The year is NOW 1756

In 1755 fighting has been mostly inconclusive, with some minor French Success in the Lake George Region.......................SOON TO BE RENAMED LAKE LOUIS [:0]

The War continues to be in the Favor of FRANCE (41 points to 31 points)to the DELIGHT of the French King

Applications are now OPEN for all Battles of 1756

PLEASE TAKE NOTE, this is a TEAM COMPETITION:

We are having the CCC club fight the French and Indian War.

The teams will be the British and their Colonial and Native allies versus the French and their Native allies.

The battles are on the list of my website (I used the campaign list presented in Wikepedia) : http://www.ccctourney.viviti.com/

We allow only a limited number of games at a time, say by campaign year, and fought in sequence

We encourage game play by members of rank and experience matching, if possible, the historic combatants; For example, the first engagements should be between newer members with low experience if possible. The major events ( Plains of Abraham ) would be fought between high ranking officers.

British, Colonial, French and Native commanders will work with their subordinates and unit commands to encourage participation
Each game is awarded team points based on the victory level and number of combatants involved

At the end of the War, the team with the highest points wins bragging rights to the continent.

Please check out the tourney site http://www.ccctourney.viviti.com/ for background information

Army Commanders Please take notice and feel free to encourage  applications

Happy New Year to All!

In celebration of the 400th Anniversary of Samuael de Champlain's European discovery of Lake Champlain, I propose we embark on a four(4)part tournament for the Conquest of a Continent, namely, North America!

I find it incredable that in the fall of 1609, Champlain was demonstrating his weaponry at present day Ticonderoga, while at the SAME TIME Henry Hudson was searching the upper Hudson River (Note; Lake CHAMPLAIN and HUDSON River, could those guys market themselves or WOT?!) Literally they were only 100 miles apart. After less than 150 years, the French and the English (who replaced the Dutch) would be fighting a World War over the place.

So, let's test ourselves at the F&IW, 1776, 1812 and the MAW.

I propose that we use the board to post challenges, but would like to assign combat based on rank. Green officers should fight the early events, and where historically they faced more experienced foes. And the grand battle on the Plains of Abraham should be between our top officers.

I am a Seneca, not sure if you need one of "us". If you don't need anyone, keep me in mind in case someone drops, or you need a sub.

I'll offer my sword as a colonial, if you are still looking for players.

All my fellow colonials a call to arms.....

Image

We can not stand for such barbarism in this land from the French and their savage minions. Grab your musket and answer the call.

Are there no Indians or Frenchmen with the nerve to stand up to the Pennsylvania Brigade at Upper Kittanning? What does this say of the so called "warriors" of the Indian Alliance? Where are the French when their Indian brothers need them?

We will burn the village to the ground in retaliaton for the atrocities you have committed against the King's loyal soldiers.
