This topic has surfaced here before, but I just came across some data from the Napoleonic Battle at Vittoria that indicated ther was 1 French Casualty for every 459 rounds fired. It was from someone quoting a book by Henegan on the Peninsula War.

I've previoulsy commented about some ACW data I have that indicates the rebs produced about 1 casualty for every 130 rounds (smoothbore or rifled msukets) and the yanks 1 casualty for every 180 rounds (rifled musket).

The relative rates (2.5 - 3.5 higher in the Napoleonic data) seem to be a bit high, but I don't know whether there is a number of unique aspects of the Vittoria battle.
