Colonial Campaigns Club (CCC)

I am effectively back in business. It will probably take me a couple of weeks to get my PC organized, get my application software reloaded, and clean up all the files --- but I manged to find a complete archive of my Outlook files, so I have all my addresses and most if not all of my old email -- it looks like an auto archive took place on sunday before the disaster. Also managed to find a backup copy of my web favorites I created a month of so ago before I did some reorganizing of them. And most importantly for this group, all my game files are available.

..and yes a new PC is on the shopping list -- if anyone wants to give me some more do's and don'ts about what to get feel free. I'll probably get another Dell.

The good news is that my current PC will be a more efficient system since all the stuff I no longer use is not present and I only need to reload what I use, and I did learn a few new things about how windows works.

It looks like my PC has major problems, includimg the corruptiom of my windows directory which means I can't even do a system registry restore. I'm bettimg I'll need a new PC (my current one is about 6 years old and runs W98) -- but it also means that all my files associated with the 1812 Tournamment could be permanetly lost, since I can no longer see any Program Directory files, which impacts the games thmeselves and my web site source files. My spreadsheet files are also missing.

Looks like I could be out of action for a few weeks.
