August 1776. General Howe and the British army are on the offensive. With superior numbers and superior quality on his side, Howe intends to crush the American army, march on New York City, and end this rebellion once and for all. Although confident of success, after the experience of Boston in the previous year, Howe knows the Americans can, and will, put up quite a fight. On the eve of battle as glasses are raised in toast to the coming victory, General Howe adds a prophetic caution to his generals to "expect bloody work" ahead.

New scenario. 17,000-18,000 men on each side. Two day battle played out on a 6-mile by 18-mile map. The British have the better army, but the Americans have the initiative, better battlefield intelligence, the terrain, and time on their side. Players have full strategic, as well as tactical, control of the battle. Scenario offers new elements and challenges not found in stock scenarios.

Looking for players to face off, 1-vs-1 or in pairs. Have 2 or 3 Americans ready for the challenge already. More welcome. Will any brave British, French, or Indian players step forward? Players should be willing and able to maintain a relatively rapid pace of play and take on a long scenario (expect 150-200 turns before victory is acheived). I promise that your committment will be rewarded.
