Thanks for the warm welcome to the club! I look forward to meeting you all on and off the field of battle. I have played some of the other HPS, mostly civil war era, titles but this is my first foray into the colonial battles. Can anyone reccommend a good battle to start with from the 1776 title? I have all four of the HPS titles so would consider a scenario from the others but I have a particular fondness of 1776. I would like a battle that includes artillery and calvary and is more or less of an equal match between the two sides. A battle that includes militia as as well as regulars would be an added bonus. I'm looking to gain experience with as many of the different elements of the game as possible. Anyone have any suggestions? Once I have I battle lined up I will be seeking an opponent who wants as easy victory to add to their scorecard. Thanks again to all for the kind reception.

Welcome? Welcome?

Misguided miscreants who wouldst rebel against their lawful king. I bid you welcome - with powder and shot! I bid you welcome - and your quarters await you upon our luxurious hulks in New York.

Fools! To challenge the British troops and to throw your lot in with the -egads - French!

Throw down that horrid and ancient blunderbus and beg mercy of His Majesty, lest the provost despatch you from the nearest tree. A fit welcome indeed,

Jones
