American Revolution: Here is a Loyalist infantryman of the British Legion (Tarleton's) as he would have appeared in the winter of 1780-1781 at Cowpens. The script "L" on the front of his cap is based on one excavated from the British works at Gloucester, Virginia. The original will be illustrated in the forthcoming plate-button book
