Hello, 2 questions please.
What can ingeneurs do in the game ?
And i wonder why some scenarios has such a high number of turns.
At the moment i play "louisburg "-b. The scenario has more than hundred rounds.
An it tooks long time to march to louisburg. Is this made in that way to give a more realistic
feeling for the battle ?

Hi Micha,

Where are these Ingeneurs you speak of? British or French Army?

The scenarios have higher turns as between each set of turns, both British & French is only 10 or 15 minutes, I can't recall which one, so it goes the whole length of the battle and can take a while to resolve. It is a full siege, other scenarios can be smaller battles or even part of a larger one. But this is a very large one. Also movement is slow depending on weather, terrain, movement costs and movement points of a unit. But it can be slow going as to properly allow the turns & time to pass. Scenarios & games can be different depending on what the game designer wants.

Welcome to the club Monsieur Nowak, engineers are mostly used in repairing of damaged bridges at this point. It has been discussed in the past to have sieges in which besiegers artillery can bombard and damage the fortress walls and breach them while the besieged engineers try to repair the damage done...

But as of right now nothing has been done to make this happen, but the engineer in me wants to fight some formal european type sieges!! :)
