Has anyone out there bought / tried this game? From what I see on matrixgames.com, it looks like the American Revolution version of Forge of Freedom...which isn't bad, especially if you have the mods that add to the available unit flags and other changes to the game. But, I know there are some complaints about FoF for PBEM, namely that there is no turn-based battle in PBEM - it's all quick-resolve. Did they do something different for FL? Might there be any interest in this becoming one of the Club games?

I'm trying to decide whether to get this one or BoA2, if I get another PC game in the near future, and was just looking for input.

Hello,
i bought for liberty but my personally opinion was it was a waste of money.
A absoulutly boring game, but everything is a matter of taste. As i remember rigth
Matrixgames has a demo.

david,
i have boa 1 and 2 and never really played them, can't get past the fact that you can't play the battles. as micha said i think they are a waste of time, but i do know some people enjoy them here. just not my cup of tea

regards

If you get anything, BoA 2 is what to get. It includes BoA 1 and some more scenarios. We have some good in house trainers who could help you learn the game too....we need to expand the pool of folks playing it a bit. We had a good start earlier this year. I do not own For Liberty but will examine it to see if it is worth owning and possibly including in the Club.... :)
